UX Researcher & Strategist
I find the question a brief is actually asking, then turn it into strategy a product team can act on.

-
Honda · Ownership
Improve the owner appWhat is ownership, and where does it actually live? -
Honda · Entry & exit
Which unlock method is best?Where does trust break across hardware, software, and weather? -
Honda · AI in research
Can AI synthesize research? What can AI accelerate without weakening evidence or accountability? -

Does early caregiving shape infants? How would you recognise an expectation if you were looking straight at it?
How I work
-
I define the problem before I solve it
A brief is a starting hypothesis, not a fixed scope. The most valuable thing research produces is often a better question than the one it was handed.
Checked in e‑Turn Only 2 of 37 non-recyclers didn’t know electronics could be recycled. The awareness campaign we were briefed to build had nowhere to land.
-
A finding is not yet a recommendation
It becomes one when it carries a support threshold, a visible counterexample, and a decision test a product team can actually apply and fail. That is what earns research a seat where the roadmap gets set.
Checked in the AI study The recommendation shipped with four named gates it could fail: 30% net time saved, 80% tag agreement, under 10% high-severity misses, 4 of 5 on researcher trust.
-
Org-wide alignment, not a handoff
I bring product, engineering, CX, and business into one evidence language, through workshops and hands-on mentoring for the PMs and designers who have to act on what I find.
Checked at Nationwide The people who had to act were executives holding a funding decision, so the output was a funding case in their language rather than a findings deck in mine.
Selected work
- American Honda Motor Co. AI-Assisted Qualitative Research Workflow Every research team was under pressure to adopt AI. Nobody had asked researchers what they would actually trust. I ran that study, then built the workflow it pointed to and cut my own analysis time by 60%.
- American Honda Motor Co. Connected-vehicle research at Honda The brief said fix the app. The research found that owners live one journey across seven separate systems, and that the seams between them are where trust actually breaks.
- Nationwide Insurance Perks, Rewards & Cash-Back Finding out what a loyalty program is actually worth to the person being offered it — in money, because the next step was a funding decision.
- Indiana University Indianapolis e-Turn Almost nobody doubted recycling mattered. The research found out why that wasn’t enough to make someone act.
- University of Missouri Measuring an expectation Four years of developmental research on how people build expectations about care. EEG with mothers, a longitudinal study that only found its effect once fathers were counted too, and a pilot I reported without a p-value.
